Conference “Innovative and Entrepreneurial Universities” in the Comenius University´s Science Park
The U.S. Embassy in Bratislava, in cooperation with Comenius University’s Science Park, held a conference on “Innovative and Entrepreneurial Universities” on November 10, 2016.

Our distinguished guests from the United States – Mr. Jack Wilson, Mr. Gururaj Deshpande, Ms. Deborah Walden, Ms. Ellan Spero, and Mr. Martin Margala – discussed together with Ms. Anna Pilkova and Ms. Jana Volna from Comenius University’s Entrepreneurship Department topics related to cooperation in R&D, the role of industry in supporting entrepreneurial graduates, the role of government in encouraging entrepreneurship, innovation, and high-impact research at universities, and the development of university curricula that foster entrepreneurship.
Based on the speakers’ presentations and their discussions with conference participants, the U.S. Embassy put together a one-pager of the conference’s outcomes and a draft resolution, which summarizes the vision, challenges, goals, and concrete recommendations regarding academic-business cooperation in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Please find attached the resolution, which may serve as a basis for enhancing collaboration between universities, businesses and government entities in Slovakia.
